Falls Are Preventable! Reduce Your Risk of Falls-at Sanibel Library
Falling is a leading cause of injury and death in Lee County. The numbers are staggering; one out of three seniors fall each year, 20 percent of those who fall are hospitalized, and half of those who are hospitalized pass away within a year. The good news is falls are preventable!
Falls are not a normal part of aging. Improving balance and strength are just one of many factors to preventing falls, others include behavioral and environmental issues that can be addressed.
Come to the Library on March 31 to learn how stay healthy and prevent falls!
