"Stories for Grownups" at Sanibel Library - with Storyteller Musician John Porcino
"Stories for Grownups" meets at the Library on the first Friday of each month.
For March 4 the featured presenter is storyteller musician John Porcino. Called "a combination of Robin Williams, Pete Seeger and ... Captain Kangaroo," Porcino weaves a playful touch of audience participation together with a message of caring for our planet and each other, and adds songs played with musical instruments from around the world."First Fridays organizer" is Dr. Sidney B. Simon, Professor Emeritus from the University of Massachusetts. Author or co-author of five books in the areas of values clarification, getting unstuck, and forgiveness, Simon is also the author of two childrens’ books, written for his own kids when they were little. Simon tells stories that are witty and wise, and also has the knack for drawing stories from people in the audience. Come and just listen, or see if one of Simon’s stories triggers one from your own life.
The public is invited to this Library Program. There is no registration required and no additional cost to participate.
