"Touring the Galápagos" at Sanibel Public Library
At 2 p.m. on December 19 evolutionary ecologist John Hess presents a presentation on the Galápagos Islands at the Library.
In his book, The Galápagos: Exploring Darwin's Tapestry, Hess opens the islands to general readers using in spectacular pictures and insightful prose. With an extensive background in ornithology and evolutionary ecology, a lifetime of experience as naturalist and photographer, and a deep respect for his subjects, Hess will share his affection for the islands and his appreciation of the exquisite beauty of Darwin's tapestry. Hess is a professor emeritus of biology at the University of Central Missouri, and has contributed photographs for several ecology-themed multimedia presentations.
The public is invited to this Library Program. There is no registration required and no additional cost to participate.
