Apr 1    Romance/Romance at Herb Strauss Theater
Romance/Romance
Book and Lyrics by Barry Harman. Music by Keith Herrmann

March 7 - April 5

Love is in the air as two separate one-act musicals become one, giving audiences a glimpse into the stories of romance seekers. The first act is a delightful romp through the romantic ennui of turn of the century Vienna based on Schnitzler's tale, The Little Comedy, as two 19th-century aristocrats meet in disguise, fall in love and worry over how to confess their true identities.
The second act is a modern look at affection and disaffection in a summer house shared by two couples in the Hamptons and is based on the Jules Renard play Summer Share. Originally an Off Off Broadway sensation that successfully moved to Broadway, Tony®-nominated Romance/Romance is a perfect change from the modern mega musical.

Apr 11    The Big Bang at Herb Strauss Theater
The Big Bang
April 11 - May 3, 2014

A madcap musical tour through history! The hysterically amusing musical extravaganza brings audiences on a whirlwind tour from creation to the present - and everything in between! Long on shtick and historical hilarity, the frenetic entertainment is based upon two producers securing millions of dollars to back a twelve hour stage history of the world. Potential investors get a taste of the most ambitious musical ever conceived as they watch eighteen side splitting numbers portraying Adam and Eve, Attila the Hun, the building of the pyramids, Julius Caesar and Columbus, just to name a few. In the process, the opulent Park Avenue apartment "borrowed" for the occasion is trashed as the two snatch furnishings to create makeshift costumes while singing and clowning their way through inventive recreations of the past, stopping occasionally for a little supplicating show biz patter. Written by Jed Feuer and Boyd Graham, the show was originally performed by its wacky creators Off Broadway.

Apr 12    "Octifest on the Beach" Sanibel Sea School Annual Fundraiser
Sanibel Sea School is a unique nonprofit dedicated to promoting marine conservation by deepening
the engagement of those who value, understand,  and care for the ocean. Our goal is to provide a rich
personal experience with the breathtaking and diverse ecosystems found in subtropical marine
environments. We believe the more we learn about the ocean, the more weʼll love it. And the more
weʼll choose to protect it. Itʼs that simple.

Families from throughout the world have enjoyed the Sanibel Sea School experience while attending one or more of our various programs:  half and full day sessions for children and adults at each of our two campuses, as well as a popular summer and holiday camp program.  Proudly, we offer a number of unique scholarship programs to ensure we do not turn down clients based on a lack of financial means. Our goal is to reach the broadest range of people possible – all age groups, all backgrounds, all developmental needs. We want to create a legacy of environmental literacy through positive ocean learning experiences for everyone touched by Sanibel Sea School.

That is where your generosity comes in. Our annual Octifest fundraiser is the single largest influx
of funds to Sanibel Sea School each year and we use each penny raised very wisely. Please join
us this year to support a worthy and fun little nonprofit “where every day is a field trip.”

April 11 - May 3, 2014

A madcap musical tour through history! The hysterically amusing musical extravaganza brings audiences on a whirlwind tour from creation to the present - and everything in between! Long on shtick and historical hilarity, the frenetic entertainment is based upon two producers securing millions of dollars to back a twelve hour staged history of the world.

Apr 26    The Big Bang at Herb Strauss Theater
The Big Bang
April 11 - May 3, 2014

A madcap musical tour through history! The hysterically amusing musical extravaganza brings audiences on a whirlwind tour from creation to the present - and everything in between! Long on shtick and historical hilarity, the frenetic entertainment is based upon two producers securing millions of dollars to back a twelve hour staged history of the world.

Dates & Times:
Friday, April 11, Opening Night Reception: 7 pm, Show starts at 8 pm
2 pm Wednesday Matinees: April 16 and 23
