The Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce After Hours is a monthly networking opportunity held on the 3rd Monday of each month from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at various member locations.
Advanced registration cut-off is the prior Friday at 5pm.

The Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce Business Lunch is a monthly networking opportunity held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 11:30a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at various member locations.
The Chamber attempts to provide speakers to discuss relevant business topics for the membership.
Advanced registration cut-off is the prior Friday at Noon.

Sep 20    28th Annual International Coastal Cleanup

Please Join SCCF for the 28th Annual International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 20

On Saturday, September 20, SCCF invites you to participate in an international volunteer effort to rid our coastlines and waterways of marine litter, pollution, and debris.   Volunteers worldwide remove millions of pounds of coastal trash that can hurt local economies, injure and kill marine wildlife, and choke the ocean environment.   SCCF’S partner in the Ocean Conservancy’s 28th Annual Coastal Cleanup is Keep Lee County Beautiful .

Participation is easy so bring your friends and family to the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation at 3333 San-Cap Rd between 9-12 am on Saturday, September 20 to check in and pick up your Coastal Cleanup Data cards and trash bags.   Please bring your own water to reduce the use of plastic water bottles.  Please bring your own work gloves to reduce the use of the plastic gloves that will be available.

Lunch and snacks on the Nature Center porch will be available from 10 til 12 am as well as a dumpster to deposit your trash.

If you have questions, want to reserve your favorite “clean up” spot, or get your data cards ahead of time please call SCCF Sept. 15-19 at 472-2329 and ask for Dee.   See you at the Coastal Cleanup.

Sep 26 - Oct 6    2014 Island Hopper Songwriter Fest
The inaugural Island Hopper Songwriter Festival. The festival kicks off on Captiva Island Sept. 26-28 and concludes on Fort Myers Beach Oct. 3-6. The event will bring nationally acclaimed singer-songwriters to the area with dozens of shows playing simultaneously at different venues. With dozens of free shows to select from, attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience the voices, back stories, and personalities of the artists in intimate island settings.
