DESCRIPTION:Attempting to capture the beauty before them\, pastel plein air artists Suzanne G. Bennett and Michele Barron Buelow take to the great outdoors to create these vibrant\, breathtaking works.\n\nBennett\, always inspired by her surroundings\, focuses on the twisting lines of the local foliage\, large swatches of color from landscapes\, and huge colorful domes of sunsets. Buelow focuses on portraying the scene in front of her\, the movement\, the incredible variety of hue and shape that nature displays.\n\n \n\n\nFeaturing three local SWFL artists\, Del Holt\, Guy Tieman and Dale Weber\, "The Sense of Things" will explore each represented artists work and their sense of the creative process.\n\nHolt paints creatures and scenarios\, referring to our world\, often in whimsical and thought-provoking ways.\n\nTieman\, with the use of simple materials\, forms\, and colors creates artwork that echoes his passion to reconnect with his childlike ability to explore\, express and take risks\, with the simple goal of enjoying the experience of being creative.\n\nWeber creates objet trouve (found object) assemblages by re-using discarded items. By carefully selecting each item that offers potential for a new existence\, Weber re-invents the item\, giving it new life and meaning in his work.
