Light refreshments will be served at 6 p.m., with talk to follow. The public is invited, there will be no tickets issued, and no additional cost to attend.
About the Author:
Cassandra King Conroy is an award-winning and bestselling novelist whose works include “Moonrise,” “Queen of Broken Hearts,” “The Same Sweet Girls,” “The Sunday Wife,” and “Making Waves.” Before becoming an author, Cassandra taught creative writing on the college level, conducted corporate writing seminars, and worked as a human interest reporter.
In "Tell Me A Story: My Life with Pat Conroy," the woman he nicknamed “King Ray” looks back at her love affair with a natural-born storyteller whose lust for life was fueled by a passion for literature, food, and the coastal Lowcountry. As she reflects on their relationship, Cassandra reveals how the marshlands and islands of South Carolina cast their spell on her, and how she came to understand the man beneath the legend—her husband, the original Prince of Tides.
