Garden Talk: Shade Gardening

August is a hot month, but if the position of your home or the canopy of a large tree creates shade in your yard, there are many wonderful plants that can thrive in your garden. Come to the Garden Talk and find out which plants grow best in shady conditions. We will walk the gardens, demonstrate planting techniques and discuss proper fertilizer use. Wear comfortable shoes, a hat and sunscreen and bring water for drinking. We will stay in the shade as much as possible. All participants will receive a 20% off coupon toward Garden Shoppe purchases and there will be many shade plants available. Everyone should meet at the information booth after checking in at the ticket office.
