Joy of Writing-Vicky Lettmann: Sanibel Library

Joy of Writing-Vicky Lettmann: Sanibel Library

Come to Sanibel Public Library hear Vicky Lettmann and writers from her “Joy of Writing” class share stories, poems, and personal essays.
For over thirty years, Vicky taught writing and literature at North Hennepin Community College. She teaches writing workshops in Sanibel, Florida, where she and her husband, John, spend the winters.

The public is invited to this program. There is no registration required and no cost to participate.

About the Speaker:
Vicky Lettmann grew up in southeastern North Carolina near the ocean, where she learned to love the taste of salt water and the smell of the tides. She created Turtle House Ink and published The Beach.
Her writing has appeared in Twenty-six Minnesota Writers, Beloved on the Earth: 150 Poems of Grief and Gratitude, and other publications. She is co-editor with Carol Roan of When Last on Mountain: The View from Writers over 50. She received an MFA in fiction writing from Warren Wilson College and is a recipient of a Loft-McKnight Fellowship.
Vicky’s teaching career began at Slippery Rock State University in Pennsylvania and continued at North Hennepin Community College in Minneapolis where she founded and edited the literary arts magazine, Under Construction. She served as an editor for Speakeasy, the literary magazine published by the Loft Literary Center where she has taught many classes.
