Another year of Love Sanibel Back comes to a close this fall, and we're finishing the way we always do: together, on the island we love.

A new home for the gathering
This year we're moving to the Sanibel Recreation Center, and we could not be more pleased. The space gives us room to spread out, more parking, and a comfortable setting for families to stay a while. Our deep thanks go to the City of Sanibel for their generous support in making the Rec Center available to us. It's a gift to the whole island, and a reflection of the partnership between the city and the community organizations that serve here.
New this year: "What I Love About Sanibel" student art show
The gathering will feature an art show created by Sanibel School students, with each piece showing what they love most about this island. Sea turtles and shorebirds, bike paths and beaches, family and friends and the places that make Sanibel home. If you want to be reminded why this island is worth loving back, come see it through the eyes of our kids. Please take a few minutes to walk the exhibit and tell the young artists what you think of their work.
What else to expect
Food and ice cream, live music, door prizes, a photo booth, and community booths from organizations across Sanibel and Captiva. At 1 p.m., a short program will feature the Sanibel School Seahorse Chorale, Mayor Mike Miller, and other island voices.  This gathering is free thanks to the generosity of our sponsors: A Bit of Bailey's, Pinocchio's Original Italian Ice Cream, the City of Sanibel, the Charitable Foundation of the Islands, Florida Trust Wealth Management, BreakAway Vacation Properties, Periwinkle Park, and Bank of the Islands.  Bring your family, bring a neighbor, and come celebrate our love for each other and our island.
