Every Tuesday beginning Jan. 20, step into Sanibel’s natural wonders on a guided walk on SCCF’s newly reopened William and Ruth Brooks Trails, located behind the headquarters building at 3333 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel, FL. Wander through shady uplands, skirt vibrant wetlands, and catch a close-up view of the Sanibel Slough while discovering the wildlife and plants that thrive here. Along the way, hear stories of the island’s conservation legacy and how recent storms have shaped its ecosystems.
No RSVP required. Meet at 10 a.m. at the William and Ruth Brooks Trails entrance in the parking lot on the west side of SCCF Headquarters (3333 Sanibel-Captiva Road). Free, but donations gratefully accepted.
Wear sturdy shoes and bring insect repellent, water, and sun protection.
