Part Time Membership Coordinator at private Golf Club, up to 52k
The Sanctuary Golf Club, a prestigious Member-owned private golf club located on Sanibel Island, FL is accepting resumes for an experienced Membership Coordinator to join the team!

The Membership Coordinator recruits and welcomes new Members, supports current Members, and ensures a seamless, high-touch experience that reflects The Sanctuary's standards of excellence.
SCHEDULE & EXPECTATIONS: Year-round, Part-time 4 days/week in season (Oct. - May) with reduced schedule to 2 days/week in the off season (June - Sept.)
This position necessitates a high level of responsiveness. Applicants should be prepared to manage communications beyond normal business hours and ensure timely follow-up. Must be flexible, reliable and able to attend occasional evening and special events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Membership Sales, Communications and Prospect Development
- Collaborates with the Membership Committee to develop a comprehensive marketing plan and serves as the primary driver in executing initiatives that generate interest in the Club and enhance its visibility.
- Identifies and cultivates prospects through proactive outreach, networking and consistent follow up.
- Partners with Communications Coordinator on the creation of Membership-related materials and ensures all Membership content on the Club's website remains accurate and up to date.
- Provides necessary information and paperwork to prospective Members, responds to membership inquiries, generates leads and follows up with prospects accordingly; conducts tours and orientation programs for prospective/new Members.
- Maintains and utilizes the Ambassador program where needed to assist with prospects.
- When at membership capacity, builds and maintains the Membership wait list, ensuring accurate records and timely communication with prospective Members.
- Develops and enhances Member relationships, supporting a strong sense of community through in-person, telephone, and email communication.
- Is present to welcome and engage with Members at all designated Member events, including new Member functions, Member-Guest events, and other Club gatherings, held in the day and evening, and provides support with event planning as needed.
- Represents the Club at select community and industry events (e.g., Chamber of Commerce meetings, networking functions, and local outreach opportunities) to enhance visibility, build relationships, and promote the Club’s presence within the community.
Membership Administration & Onboarding
- Processes membership applications and ensures all required approvals and procedures are followed.
- Sets up new Members with all required information, notifications to departments, and disbursement of information.
- Maintains all Membership files.
- Follows through with Member onboarding, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience.
- Utilize the Ambassador program to help integrate new Members into the Club.
Administrative & Other Responsibilities
- Timely and effectively responds to Member needs, inquiries, issues, and comments in accordance with Club standards and policies, with the expectation that all inquiries are acknowledged and addressed as quickly as possible, within a maximum of 12 hours, including outside of normal work schedule.
- Forwards all resignation inquiries to the GM and CFO promptly.
- Attends management and staff meetings as required; maintains minutes for Membership & Marketing meetings.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, REQUIREMENTS
- College degree, preferably with a business, communications or marketing concentration.
- Experience as a Membership Coordinator or similar role, club or hospitality industry preferred.
- A person of exceptional “character” – motivated and energetic, and ready to make a commitment of loyal service to the Club’s management, staff and Members.
- A strong team player who enjoys a hands-on approach, the ability to work with a variety of skill levels and personalities and to foster an atmosphere of cooperation and accomplishment.

- Ability to gain a firm understanding of the Club’s rules and by-laws in order to communicate and interpret.
- Knowledgeable about the Club, its services, amenities, outlets events, and business practices in order to provide Members and Guests with consistent and accurate information.
- Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality, discretion and personal integrity at all times.
- Detail oriented, extremely organized and ability to manage time efficiently.
- Excellent verbal, written communications and follow up skills.
- A strong working knowledge of computers and related technologies.
- Ability to create and/or easily manipulate documents, spreadsheets, presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness and ability to respond to time-sensitive emails and phone calls outside of normal work schedule.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Low to moderate noise level in the work environment.
